Is your website working for your business?

      Frequently Asked Questions From You

      · FAQ

      Imagine this for a moment:

Your new website has just launched!

Your business cards are new and glossy with your custom url.

Hours of searching through archives to find just the right photos to represent your brand have paid off.

The logo is perfect & looks great on your new site.

Time, money, effort, you are excited that this project can be checked off of your to-do list

You feel proud and excited to share your website with everyone.

      But did you miss something?

Here are a few questions every business owner must ask themselves about their website:

      1) Does my website fit my purpose?

Is your website informational? Are you trying to sell something? Are you hoping to capture visitor information so that you can stay in contact with your customers? It is important that your website isn't just pretty but is functional.

What is the purpose of your website?

      2) What page are most people visiting on your website? Fun fact- It may not be your homepage!

You should know what page(s) are most popular amongst visitors. For some, the contact page may be their most popular page, especially if you are a brick and mortar store. Start by looking at your top 3 pages and ask yourself, If I were a customer visiting this page, what would I want to know? Does your page answer these questions? Could those answers be improved upon? A great customer experience is on the line. Do not lose your change to make a great impression.

FREE HELP IS AVAILABLE: If you have no idea how to determine which pages are most popular, please give us a call. We are happy to walk you through the process of gathering this information, completely complimentary. We strive to have educated clients and partners.

      3) What do you want your customers to do when they arrive on your website?

If you are investing any dollars to drive traffic to your website you need to consider where the customer will land. The homepage might be a good fit BUT if you are promoting a specific offer or product, take your customers directly to that offer or product. Sounds simple on the surface but this means you will need to customize every post/campaign/advertisement to the goal. Customers are more impatient than ever so if they click and get exactly what they expected, that's a huge win!

When a customer visits your website from your business card, again ask yourself- What do you want them to do?

Here is a list of a few actions that might make sense for your business:

      • Shop Now
      • Register
      • Find FAQ's about your product/service
      • View the latest offerings
      • Find your social media links
      • Find a map to your location
      • Maybe they don't know! "Just looking"

The best way to get a potential customer is just tell them what you want them to do!

A solid call to action on your homepage is never a bad idea.

      One last tip:

Make sure your website is updated frequently.

If the visitor has nothing new to find, they probably have no reason to come back after a time or two.

Take advantage of the free search engine optimization- Part of Google's "secret sauce" to earning your way to the top of page 1 is fresh new content.
